EP. 67 The Value Of Coaching With Lenora
Monday Mar 07, 2022
Monday Mar 07, 2022
Today's episode is not only inspiring, it's downright amazing. You'll be hearing from my private client, Lenora, as she shares her story of transformation. Even though she was hesitant about coaching she ultimately made the decision to commit to herself and make the investment. As you’ll her say, she could have gone and taken a trip or spent the money elsewhere, but once that's over, she was going to be the same person and she decided that it was worth it for her to spend the resources to really change her life, to think differently about her life. This has been the best decision she has made for her present and future self.
In the pursuit to uplevel her thinking, you'll hear how Lenora discovered her secret weapon, self-love, and compassion. The biggest realization was knowing that she is capable of doing it and that however, she shows up in the world, she can always choose to love who she is. This is how we create emotional safety within to be ourselves.
As Lenora says, “the more you hold space for yourself, the more compassion you show yourself, the more love you show yourself, the more you can love others and the faster change happens.” If you are ready for change, join the waitlist for my group coaching program starting in March 2022. EP. 65 Are you ROOTBOUND?
Monday Feb 21, 2022
Monday Feb 21, 2022
What it means to be rootbound is having roots formed into a dense, tangled mass that allows for little or no space for further growth. It’s staying in the container although it stumps your growth. And for some of us, staying in that container leads to our demise. So I want to ask you, are there parts of you that you have allowed to die away? Are there parts of you that you have allowed to just wither?
If you answered yes to these questions, I want to invite you to join my group program, Rooted. It's not just a program about self-love, understanding ourselves, understanding all the conditioned thoughts we have and improving our relationship with ourselves. It's all of that but there's another component which is us coming together as black women, and achieving some impossible, epic shit!
Queens, I want us to get out of the same places and go into bigger circles, but the only way we can do that is if we're rooted in ourselves. I want to show you how. Join the waitlist for my group coaching program starting in March 2022. Visit www.brigjohnson.com/group to register.

EP. 64 I’m not Black Enuf. WAT?
Monday Feb 14, 2022
Monday Feb 14, 2022
As high-achieving black women, many of us deal with what is now called Racial Imposter Syndrome. Racial Imposter Syndrome is the feeling that we don't belong because those around us in our homogenous communities make it known that we are not being black enough for one reason or another.
From coaching my clients I've come to realize that this is a very common theme. They get to a point where they struggle with the decision to go after big epic goals because it feels like the further they go the more isolated they feel. Success for them means that culturally they aren't black enough.
Why is it that descriptions such as successful, educated, and articulate are reserved only for white people, as though a black person can only ever be uneducated and ratchet?
In this episode, we’ll discuss how we can shake this feeling of not being black enough so that we can let the mask down and be our authentic selves. And if you want more help with cleaning up your thoughts, consider joining my upcoming group coaching program, Rooted, where I will show you how to stop feeling ashamed about your success and how to partner with your self-sabotaging patterns and make them your superpowers.

EP. 63 What’s Rooted?
Monday Feb 07, 2022
Monday Feb 07, 2022
Today we are talking about all things group coaching and I am so excited to share this with you.
It’s all about being rooted. For me being rooted means accepting the various aspects of yourself, from past to present. Feeling aligned with your own values that have developed over time. It means that you are fixed, unmovable, and entrenched in your worthiness.
Queens, imagine what it would be like if our worthiness was no longer questioned. If we were deeply unmovable, unwavering, entrenched, and habitually rooted in ourselves.
This is what I want for us. I want us to be rooted in ourselves so that we become our own safe place to land. I will teach you exactly how to do this through several different processes and methodologies in my upcoming group coaching program. If you are ready to get Rooted in YOU, join the waitlist for my group coaching program starting in March 2022. Visit www.brigjohnson.com/group to register.

![EP. 62 Be A Grown A** Woman When It Comes To Your Brain](https://pbcdn1.podbean.com/imglogo/image-logo/9980508/Brig_-_The_Optimized_Podcast_Logo_aunue_300x300.jpg)

EP. 62 Be A Grown A** Woman When It Comes To Your Brain
Monday Jan 31, 2022
Monday Jan 31, 2022
I have a fun episode for you today! I want to talk about being a grown a** woman.
If you’re a mother, you may have cultivated “the look” that you give to your kids that lets them know that the thing they are asking is not up for negotiation or whatever they are doing stops now. That signature look says that you’ve established intentional boundaries and remained consistent with enforcing them.
Guess what? We can do the same thing with our brains. When we find that we are not showing up for ourselves in a way that we want to, like we set a desire to do something, and then we don't do it, its time to be a grown a** woman and set some boundaries with our brain so that when we make a commitment to ourselves to do something and life happens rather than allowing our brains give us all the reason why we can’t, we can give our brain “the look” that says the decision has been made, this is not a negotiation. From there we will transition into curiosity mode and seek out a solution of how we can do the thing we committed to do. Listen in to learn how.
And if you are struggling with getting yourself to do what you say you want to do and want help with managing your brain so that you can stop telling yourself the same story and creating the same result over and over again, then join the waitlist for my group coaching program starting in March 2022. EP. 61 Your Dreams Don’t Need A Co-Signer
Monday Jan 24, 2022
Monday Jan 24, 2022
Are you waiting for people to cosign your belief, goals, and dreams? I have news for you Queen, you don’t need a co-signer to fulfill your dreams! I repeat it's your dream, you don't need others' approval!
When you outsource or wait for others to cosign whether or not you can do the thing you are essentially saying that you don't believe you have a good enough track record to show up for yourself to do the hard things.
Listen, your version of you will always be higher than their version of you. So stop waiting for them to support you. Stop waiting for them to get excited about your goal. Stop waiting for them to cosign. Your belief in yourself is enough.
If you're a high-achieving woman and you’re trying to understand why your still shrinking, why you doubt yourself, I can tell you exactly why. Let me help you to uncover why you do what you do. EP. 60 Will You Love Yourself More?
Monday Jan 17, 2022
Monday Jan 17, 2022
Society tells us that when things don’t work out we are supposed to beat ourselves up. And that is exactly what we do. When we are experiencing frustration with our choices or decisions, we may punish ourselves. This comes in many forms, like restricting ourselves from enjoying good things or engaging in negative self-talk.
I want to offer that there is another way to handle disappointment. I want us to learn to cultivate self-trust. It is important that regardless of the outcome of our goal we will love ourselves MORE on the other side of that result. Yes, we can decide that not only are we going to do the thing, we are also not going to beat ourselves up regardless of the outcome especially if the outcome doesn't happen in the way or the timeframe we expect.
So why is this important and how do you cultivate self-trust? Listen in to learn more.
And If you are ready to cultivate self-trust and level up your experience, I will be starting a group coaching program in March 2022. It’s a small community of 10 women to help you update your programming, choose self-trust and start doing epic sh*t, join the waitlist now at www.brigjohnson.com/group.

EP. 59 Who Are You Being?
Monday Jan 10, 2022
Monday Jan 10, 2022
Happy New Year! It’s the season of resolutions, goals, and choosing a word for the year. As we start thinking about our goals and strategies for what we want to accomplish this year, I want to remind you that we are not human doings, nor are we human havings, we are human beings.
This means that in order to accomplish a goal we must become a person who can make that happen. Often times we are so focused on the goal, on the doing, that we miss the point of identifying who we have to be to get that goal. When we are human doings, our actions require external validation, and when things don’t work out we beat ourselves up. But if we were human being, we establish our validation through our thoughts and our feelings about ourselves. Rather than operating from fear and scarcity, you operate from self-trust, love, and compassion. From this space, you can set EPIC goals.
So as we are planning for the next twelve months also think about who you want to be. If you need help with this process, I will be starting a group coaching program in March 2022. It’s a small community of 10 women to help you make the switch from human doings to human beings. Join the waitlist now at www.brigjohnson.com/group.
