Continuing our conversation from EP. 121 Bad Things Happen To Good Girls, EP. 122 Redefining GOODT ENUFF, and EP. 123 Suffering and the GOODT Black Women MENTALITY, today we are talking about what to do when you don't get the results you want.
So we’ve been focusing on this good girl mentality and how we have labeled negative things that happen as a problem and identifying that problem as being us, which leads to a false sense that if we were somehow different, this wouldn't have happened. We forget that life is 50/50, good and bad things happen, and we can't control it, and so when the “negative thing” is happening, we think we did something wrong.
But what if you made a mistake? What if you did choose something, and now the consequences are putting you a couple of steps backward on your journey? What do you do after a f*%k up?
Let’s go there and discuss how to move forward.
And if you need additional support with releasing the good girl standard of living, get on the waitlist for the Deeply Rooted Group Coaching Program by visiting www.brigjohnson.com/group for more details.
