EP. 106 The Other Side of GRATITUDE
Monday Dec 05, 2022
Monday Dec 05, 2022
“Just be grateful for what you have.” Are you familiar with this statement?
Today we are challenging this old rule of being grateful for what you have because this is a standard of being that many of us have accepted without question.
If you think you should just be grateful for what you have, you will not require more of yourself or the people around you. Why? Because that would mean that you are ungrateful.
Rather than just being grateful and settling, I think it is possible to be grateful AND demand your worth. Let's talk about it.
Press play to tune in!

Monday Nov 28, 2022
Monday Nov 28, 2022
I am so excited to bring you another client spotlight episode. You all know how much I love these conversations!
Today we are chatting with Franchelle Caesar. Franchelle is the Financial Coach for spenders. She coached with me for a total of 1 year as a 1:1 client and now she is completing her second round of the Deeply Rooted cohort. We intended to record this interview after her first six months of 1:1 coaching but it got done after the second round and as you will hear how her transformation after the second six months of coaching is even more amazing.
Not only was she able to clearly define who she is and become more grounded in herself, but she has also gained clarity around who she serves. This has caused her coaching business to take off.
We cover the gamut in this high energy, engaging conversation. I am confident that you will gain some valuable insights and takeaways that you can apply to your life. Enjoy the episode.

EP. 104 I feel the NEED for SPEED
Monday Nov 21, 2022
Monday Nov 21, 2022
I believe in the power of being in rooms with people who think at a higher level than you do, because it causes you to rethink your current thoughts and your current reality, then you can have the possibility to change some of those thoughts and start growing.
And so, I did a thing y'all! I recently joined the biggest mastermind that I have ever been a part of.
In this mastermind, I am literally the lowest earner. Everyone else in the room is at $1M+. And while it officially starts in January, we have already had a couple of meetings and there is something that I realized that I want to share with you.
I notice that there's no secret to success. Success is actually a skill. And what these high earners are doing is something I'm calling speed of implementation. Meaning, they get coached, immediately implement it and come back to the next meeting with the results they experienced.
This is one of the main differences I see for us as high-achieving women of color, we don't take immediate action. So let's talk about some of the reasons why I think speed of implementation is a thing for us.

EP. 103 IDK Ville
Monday Nov 14, 2022
Monday Nov 14, 2022
Saying “I don’t know” and adopting a growth mindset are powerful means for becoming smarter and more skilled individuals. This allows you to get curious, creative and ask questions so that you can obtain the knowledge you currently lack.
There is a flip side to saying “I don’t know” and that is when you think you should know. When you think that not knowing means something about you.
To be clear, you not knowing is not the problem. The problem is when you say “I don’t know” and instead of trusting that you will use the resource available to you to figure it out, you sit there and spin and turn in IDK Ville.
The meaning you apply to saying “I don’t know” makes a huge difference in how you will proceed. Listen in as I share some strategies on how you can keep going rather than staying stuck in IDK Ville.

EP. 102 It Is What It Is, Or Is It?
Monday Nov 07, 2022
Monday Nov 07, 2022
According to dictionary.com, “It is what it is”, is an expression used to characterize a frustrating or challenging situation that a person believes cannot be changed and must just be accepted.
When we say, “it is what it is”, we think that we're being kind to ourselves and we're really accepting things the way they are, but that is not the case.
As innocent as these words may seem, they could end up having a largely negative effect on our personal development and the way we live our lives.
The basic meaning behind these words is that we are unable to change our circumstances and that equals a sense of powerlessness and a feeling of being trapped.
Queens, you are not powerless. What you need is a power shift. Listen in to learn how to make this shift and move to a space of empowerment.

EP. 99 Sheroism vs Toxic Positivity
Monday Oct 17, 2022
Monday Oct 17, 2022
With every life experience, your relationships, your achievements, and your failures are all open to interpretation. The most important decision you’ll make about every life experience is the meaning you assign to it. And that meaning will either hold you back or push you forward.
You may not have a choice over how a life experience turns out. But when it comes to making meaning out of life experiences you do have a choice. What will you choose to make it mean?
I say you choose to be your own Shero. Be the lead character who kicks ass.
This does not mean that you practice toxic positivity. It simply means that you will make an intentional decision to explore a different point of view of your experience. The version that makes you feel confident and empowered.

EP. 98 Visibility Capacity
Monday Oct 10, 2022
Monday Oct 10, 2022
Visibility capacity is our ability to allow our full selves to be seen in our life and work.
When it’s out of alignment, it shows up as feeling stuck, uncomfortable, and lacking discipline and willpower. But when our visibility capacity is in full bloom, we stop sabotaging opportunities that shine a light on our brilliance and intentionally seek out and attract visibility opportunities that celebrate our true selves.
As high-achieving women of color, we have a sphere of influence where we feel very comfortable. However, on our journey to accomplish our epic shit, this sphere must grow and expand, which will elevate us to a new sphere, our epic zone, where we feel less comfortable. Becoming more comfortable requires us to increase our visibility capacity.
In this episode, I want to talk about recognizing our visibility capacity. Listen in as I share the three reasons you may have a visibility capacity and how to increase it. Let’s dig in!
